How to know yourself: New Year

Hey there!

I’m not going to bombard you with questions, but I would encourage you to take a break from the daily grind to get to know yourself better.

Even though humans have confined time to numbers and patterns, and we’ve trapped ourselves in those patterns, I believe that a new year has the same starting effect as a birthday, where you ask yourself questions like “What am I doing?” and “Where am I?”

New year, new hopes, new excitement!

It’s the last day of the year.

I asked myself a question. What would I do if I could only live today? Not the last day of my life. If I came into the world as an adult and only lived for one day.

I’d probably explore the surroundings first. I’d observe nature, cities, and people, and try to understand them. After getting used to it and finding something for myself, I’d try to enjoy the day. Both by having fun and connecting with the people around me.

On the last day of the year, I wish I could stop asking questions about life and myself and fully experience and feel alive.

To close out the year with beautiful memories, I’d close my eyes to all the obstacles and negativity I’ve faced throughout the year and my daily life.

I want to wake up tomorrow morning as a new me. With maximum energy and positive emotions, not think about the problems I haven’t encountered yet.

My advice to you is to leave behind all your problems, ambitions, goals, memories, and every emotion you’ve experienced in 2023, whether good or bad, today.

Enjoy the day, loved ones, new feelings, and curiosity as if you’ve just entered life and will only live for one day.

I wish everyone a happy new year!
